Week 17 - Return of the Training

22/04/13 - Swim Session Back to Day 1 again with the 16 week training plan. The plan starts with a simple swim and I was lucky enough to have the pool to myself. A new pool for my training to since we have moved house, and its brand new too! 4 x 100 wu 2 x (16 x 25s) Sprint every 4th 2 x 100 wd I took it slow and steady, didn't smash the session out and keep it the same stroke speed throughout the session. Session Details Duration 00:45:00 Distance 1400 meters 23/04/13 - Turbo Session Simple spin on the bike, get the legs working and awake. I put the bike on a low to middle resistance and peddled for 45 minutes with the company of the British & Irish Lions tour 2005. I did this session without the Garmin, so flying solo. Week 17 - The Next Level

23/04/12 - Free Run (Treadmill) When I first saw the training plan back 6 weeks ago, I was dreading this week, I knew it was going to be a hard one, and the first session of the week was a long run. I do miss running, as I used to do a lot in last years training schedule but I need to work on other areas in my triathlon training so the running had to be cut. As this was going to be a hard week I didn't want to kill myself on the first session of the week even though I managed 9.5 miles in 90 minutes on the treadmill. I wish I could go outside and run but I've only got the time to get into the gym and then back to work. Free run was on the cards today, I started the session at 9.5 min mile pace and when I loosed off about 3 miles I upped the speed to 8 minute mile pace. I managed to keep the heart rate relatively low, again the HR monitor has had a spike which I think is down to the machinery, as my heart rate hasn't seen 223 for years so I doubt this is right very m...
